Turbug’s eyes snap to Virus and he makes a soft, though serious, hiss thru his teeth at the abuse of the girl. Although as soon as the emotion has passed thru his better judgement he stops and swallows and appears momentarily befuddled, still having more difficulty than he’d like sorting out his feelings toward this alternate of his…enemy(?). Rival? Whatever she was…
He lifts his chin slightly when Virus turns to him, snorting. “Honesty? That’s not something our code is prone to, is it?” He reaches out one hand and clamps it—gently—around Vani’s head, turning her slightly to face her toward him. Then he swats at the ground with his cerci, gaining the immediate attention of both the little bugs with him. “I’d be grateful for your assistance. And I figure you could use a meal yourself.”
“I suppose not." The palette swap replied, stepping back from Vani as Turbug approached. "If you’re okay with possibly failing even worse than you did last time, then by all me—…”
"Stop it. Stop talkin’ and stop thinkin’ that I can’t do anythin’ because of what you did to me." Vani hissed, her eyes wandering towards the direction she heard her other half from. She complies as Turbug turns her around and squints once she’s in front of him. "Ah, okay. There we are, hi there." Slowly, she reaches out and swats gently at the cybrids hair. "You’d be right about that! Haven’t eaten in… hm, maybe a week almost. I’m starvin’."
“…Unless you count the curtains and random bits and pieces of the castles decor that you helped yourself to shortly after this little accident occured. Also the plush dolls that were given to you. Saw you eating a few of those." Virus scoffed, wandering towards the two. "Where were you thinking of hunting, anyways? The twizzler field again?”
He thounds really mean, do you want me to take care of him for you?
i’m not sure what you could do, though.
he’s a jerk but he hasn’t hurt me ever since i threw those plush dolls at him.
That soundth cool, but do you need help?
nah, i’m fine. it’s irritiating but i don’t really leave the room that much so i can just lie on the bed all day and watch as it cycles through various glitching stages.
virus laughs at me everytime i shriek.
Turbug immediately turns a sharp eye on KitKat at the sound of Vani’s cry, his eyes flashing as he bares his teeth and snaps, hissing loudly at the pair of conjoined twins. "Behave!"
The two-headed cybrid shrinks back considerably, both heads bobbing near to the ground and staring up at their father in obedient fear. After a long while of keeping still, one of the heads slowly lifts up to nuzzle into the girl’s hand.
Turbug sighs loudly, his anger melting away into mild frustration. He glances back at Virus again with a look of distaste, then returns his attention to Vani. “I hate to interrupt what appears to be some really touching sister bonding time,” he mutters, “but I’m starving. I’ve hardly had a chance to hunt since the eggs hatched. I was hoping for some…” His eyes dart to Virus and back with a frustrated roll at admitting weakness in front of an alt. “…assistance.”
The glitched girls hand flinches at the touch of Kitkat’s nuzzle, but she turns her attention back to them and smiles. “I’ve been bitten by something worse at some point in my life I’m pretty sure. Don’t worry, little friend, yer fine.”
Virus snorts, glaring daggers at Turbug. “We’re not ‘bonding’. I despise her." He wanders over to Vani and tugs on her ponytail rather harshly. "I’m not one to hunt, she’s probably the person to go to for something like that. Since her little… ‘incident’, I’m not sure if she’ll be of much use to you. Took her nearly an hour to find her way out of the castle.”
Swatting at the malware’s hand, Vani looks in the opposite direction of where Turbug was. “I can help ya no worries, Buggy!” She stands up and crosses her arms, giving an arrogant expression to no one. “I might not be able to see, but I can still hear movement.”
Virus quietly stood behind her, stifling his laughter. He takes a side glance over at Turbug and muttered silently. “You’re better off going at it alone, to be honest…”

Princess perks at Vani’s words, pausing. She stands still for a moment, watching her, before she comes skittering eagerly back to her father and nuzzling up on one of his legs like a cat, her eyes on Vani with curiosity still. She’s purring and making quite a lot of pleased little chitters, still filling up the hivemind with curious inquiries that were becoming increasingly excited.
Turbug seems mildly flustered at the compliment, blushing faintly and clearing his throat. “Y-yeah. I’ll be damned if I have any idea what she’s ever going on about…” His eyes shift back to her, grimacing a little. “Your eye looks sort of…not good, you know. What happened?”
KitKat, meanwhile, has tentatively approached Vani and both heads seem to be inspecting the offered hand and its owner quietly. Curious, one of the heads takes a gentle (mostly affectionate) bite down on one of the offered fingers.
Vani quietly giggles at Princess and settles down on the ground, holding her hand out to Kitkat again. “Well, luckily fer you, I can communicate through it. Used t’ do it all the time with my brother when I found it hard t’ talk. Mr. Peppermint over there can’t do anything with it.” She motioned over to Virus (or rather, slightly towards the left of where he was), who scowled and looked up at the sky.
"Oh… uhm…" The glitched program shifted her gaze down at the ground and she went silent for several seconds. "Sssomeone scratched me across the eye after we got into a fight.” Her companion slowly turned to look over at her, sneering a little. “Your own fault for biting them.”
Ignoring the remark, Vani sighs and rubs her eyes before letting out a slight shriek at Kitkat’s bite. She looks over at her hand and stares at the cydra. “Ouch! Okay, maybe you’re not as shy as I thought you were.” Slowly, she pulls her hand back and reaches out again to try and pet one of their heads.
Turbug sighed loudly and a bit over-dramatically, frustrated at his inability to control his youngsters to any extent. He watched the girl coming closer with a frown, but he didn’t make a move to stop her from approaching, snorting quietly when he shifts his eyes onto Virus. “…I’m not generally one to ‘lash out’ at kids. At least not when I’m off the racetrack," he added in a lower mutter. He snorted again, grimacing. "Pleased to make your aquaintence. That’s a nice little…" He waved his claws vaguely in the alternate’s direction. "…thing you’ve got going."
As the two little ones noticed the girl approaching, KitKat ceased his crying and sniffled as he managed to get himself upright, crouching low close to his sister and watching Vani with both heads. Princess’s distress shifted into a note of curiosity as she crept past her father’s buggy feet to meet the other girl, sending out a series of introductions and vague inquiries thru the hivemind.
Turbug glanced back at the three of them when he noticed Princess moving past him, tense but trying his best to hide it. He wasn’t keen on his kids being anywhere near one of his alternates, but showing his discomfort would only invite trouble. “…that’s Princess,” he said quietly, “and the twins are Kit and Kat…KitKat. I’m honestly not sure which one is which.”
Virus crossed his arms and grumbled, looking off to the side. “It’s nice to meet an alternate of mine too. Always a pleasure." Gritting his teeth at Turbug’s comment, the malware looked down at his outfit and tugged on the sides of his sweatshirt. "I could say the same for you, actually. Believe me, I’d choose another outfit if I could.”
Vani watched as the adventurous cybrid wandered over towards her companion who shied away and shot a glance back towards her as if to say ‘dosomething’. Holding one hand out towards Kitkat for him to examine her, she looked back at Princess. “Erm, I don’t think he likes bugs too much. Yer better off interactin’ with me.”
As soon as she turned to look back over at KitKat, her eye buzzed and sparked, causing her to hiss and recoil. “Ouch…” She withdrew her hands away from the small cydra and rubbed her eye. “Ah, they’re adorable, Buggy! Kitkat seems shy, though. There’s nothing t’ worry about. I wish I could get a better look at both of them.” Glancing over in the direction where she last noticed Princess, she added quietly. “Can she only communicate through the hivemind?”

OH MY GOD, I JUST LEARNED THESE EXISTED.))
Turbug lifted his head the moment he saw the girl, the rest of his body rising up slightly more from the ground as he quickened his pace to approach her. “Had a bit of trouble getting away,” he muttered. He grimaced a bit at her condition, and his attention was just starting to shift to her ‘companion’ when she commented on his own ‘company’ and he was distracted from both. At first he looked to her with confusion, then he abruptly snapped to attention and turned his head round sharply. The two little bugs behind him jumped and immediately began backpeddling, KitKat nearly backing over Princess and sending both of them to the ground in a tangle of buggy limbs. Turbug stared for a moment on the cusp of rage, trying to get out words that wouldn’t form into sentences, before he finally manages, “What the hell are you two doing here?!”
At the sound of Turbug’s yell, one of KitKat’s heads begins crying and Princess disentangles herself from her brother with a distressed whine going out thru the hivemind.
Turbug seethes, twisting round to look back at vani again sharply. With all the affection of an overworked daddy with severely disobedient children, he snaps: “Well it looks like you get to meet two of the little buggers, since I can’t seem to shake them!!”
Vani stumbled back at the cybrids yell, believing that he had been shouting at her and Virus. “Well we—…”
“He’s not talking about us, idiot. He’s talking about the two… bugs behind him." The malware watched as the two young cybrids stumbled backwards, eventually getting themselves all tangled up with one another. "Not the most graceful creatures out there, are they?”
The sound of the whine resonating through the hivemind reaches the buggy girl and she tilts her head. With a faint crackle, her broken eye flickers and glitches, granting her decent eyesight for a short time. “Oh goody! I wanted t’ meet some of them.” Lowering herself to the ground, she wanders closer to the two young cybrids.
Virus remained behind, eyes shifting from Turbug to Vani and back again. “I’m surprised she trusts you enough to think you wouldn’t lash out at her for whatever reason.”
